Nanoose Place Community Centre: About Us

Opened in 1992 by the Nanoose Bay Lions Club and dedicated community members, Nanoose Place has been the thriving heart of the Nanoose Bay community, offering a hub for community activities and local events for more than three decades. The Community Centre is managed and operated by the Nanoose Bay Activities & Recreation Society, a committed volunteer board supported by part-time staff members, who work to enhance our recreation programs. Come grow connections with us.

The non-profit, Nanoose Bay Activities and Recreation Society (NBARS) operates Nanoose Place, a hub for community activities and local events. Our operations are made possible through facility rentals and small, one-time grants, ensuring that our recreation programs and the accessibility of Nanoose Place remain community-driven and rooted in local connection.

Eswyn's Alpine & Rock Garden was established in the fall of 2009 by a group of dedicated volunteers who aimed to enhance community activities and provide a space for local events and recreation programs.
